i am dirt under the rug.

Restoring this discussion to the Open Web.

Techdirt’s opaque “community flag” system has a peculiarity: It excludes flagged comments from the Open Web. A flagged comment and all of its replies cannot be directly hyperlinked, are invisible and inaccessible to external archivers, search engines, and people who disable JavaScript.

Mike Masnick is lucky. With the impeccable timing noted with third-party archival timestamps on the above-linked site, my days-old OP attained some unknown critical mass of opaque community flags just about when moderation published my last reply—one which would be justifiably embarrassing to Mr. Masnick. This hid the whole thread, thus sweeping Techdirt’s dirt under the rug. Unluckily for Mr. Masnick, the Open Web still exists.

Please go find somewhere else to spew your absolute fucking nonsense.

Since I’ve erred in casting pearls before swine, would you agree to delete all of my comments from Techdirt’s database if I voluntarily leave the site? To be clear, that’s a rhetorical question—maybe.

Now that I have somewhere else I started to assemble immediately when this thread was suppressed, I think I can probably walk and chew gum at the same time.

Any reader of this thread can see that you have said nothing of substance here. You have only troll tactics of baseless ad hominem insults, extreme vitriol, bare assertions that are easily rebutted, twisted distortions of my statements (perhaps worst in your latest comment), appeals to the authority of “I knew Aaron”, and yet more baseless ad hominem insults—plus the convenience of the whole discussion abruptly being hidden. Otherwise stated: You have nothing to say.

For my part, I needn’t let you yell grossly unjustifiable abuse at me in public, try to demean me as much as you are able, and then sweep the whole thing under the rug. Any further discussion on this thread is directed to my website, where it will stay in the open.

So as to myself. As to the subject hereof: My OP starts by stating that I have acted here “in conscience”. My conscience is clear.
